A site, located in the southwestern
portion, will meet the City’s affordable housing requirements for
the project. Affordable housing is proposed to be adjacent to the Mid
Peninsula Housing site. The area is conveniently located adjacent to
the Mixed-Use Village. Average density for this site can range from 18-24
dwelling units per acre.
The developer proposes to convey to the City approximately 4 acres. The
acres satisfy the City’s Inclusionary Housing Requirement, as found
in Chapter 19.28 of the American Canyon Zoning Ordinance. The dedication
of land in lieu of constructing inclusionary units is allowed by Section
19.28.050. The City requires that 10% of the total housing units in the project
to be inclusionary units. The precise acreage and location of the land conveyed
to the City will be determined through the specific plan process. |
