A community park of approximately
4 acres is proposed adjacent to the City Hall site. The park functions
to buffer the community from the rail lines. The park will provide both
active and passive recreation as well as provide for storm water detention.
As a park with active playfields, the park can share weekend and off-hour
parking with the new City Hall.
In addition, the community will be linked together by a network of pedestrian-oriented
paseos. The paseos include a perimeter trail system located within a buffer
of ornamental vineyards of approximately 4 acres. Overall, approximately
15 acres of park and open space will be provided: 8 acres of parks and trails,
as well as the 7 acres for the lake and gardens within the ruins (that is
included within the Mixed-Use Village acreage number). |
